b) Make sure you wear a nice hat and carry enough water.

c) While SRS Hills and Doddamallur has some shops selling soft drinks and and snacks, there is nothing in Kootagal.

d) For lunch there are a lot of options between Channapatna and Maddur.

e) The temple in Revana Siddeshwara Betta, Aprameya temple and Kootagal will all be open during daytime.

f) The road condition throughout the route is good. You may encounter a small patch of bad roads on the way to Kootagal

g) If you don’t mind going back late to Bangalore, you can take small detour after Channapatna towards Kanva reservoir which looks excellent after rains. You can also stop over to have a darshan of Lord Hanuman at Kengal before taking a detour to Kanva reservoir.

h) Be careful climbing the hills when it is raining as it may be slippery.

i) Always wear a good shoe to climb. A nice trekking shoe will be a good bet.
