Skywatch Friday – Magnificent Meghamalai!

Written by Poorna & Brinda

“Meghamalai ” in Tamil means “Cloud Mountain”.

We had read about this charming and cute place in the mountains.

A back-breaking 40 KMs drive from Cumbum brought us to this serene and tranquil hill station. The road is horrible in the hills and last twenty KMs can not be done by cars. The government is repairing the road but it will not be before a year that you will be able to drive to this place in your car. If you have a SUV, you can go ahead.

It is fairly unknown and still unexplored.

We were there in the afternoon and clicked these pictures. The blue sky was a perfect foil to the greenery around. “Meghamalai” is simply spectacular!

Another Panoramic view of the place.

This is only a teaser. We will be back with a detailed post on this lovely place soon.

We travel together. We caught the travel bug 20 years back. On our honey moon, we traveled over the sea, in the train, by bus and in an aircraft! Our adventures probably started in that year. It continues, ever since.
