Skywatch Friday – Shadow play on Leh road!

Written by Poorna & Brinda

The roads to Ladakh makes a fascinating journey. We have recounted our unforgettable journey from Manali to Leh in detail in earlier posts.

Last year when we travelled to Ladakh again for Markha Valley trek, we chose to drive from Srinagar. Kashmir was unusually hot in August. The road conditions were fantastic except for few KMs on Zojila pass. After crossing Kargil, we were treated to some of the finest shadow plays in the Himalayan mountains.

It was in the afternoon. The sky was blue with few scattered clouds. The pattern of shadow changed as drove along.
