Vittala Temple in Hampi

Written by Poorna & Brinda
Vittala Temple in Hampi is the crown jewel of all monuments in Hampi.

We were in Hampi during Republic day weekend in the last week of January. This must be one of the many visits we have done to this “City of Wonders”. Every time, we have come back with something new which encourages us to go back again!

This time around, we wanted to go to Vittala Temple – epitome of Vijayanagara sculptural heritage. Early in the morning before any tourists. We were there at 8.30 when the temple opened for visitors. It was a prefect morning. Comfortably chilly with clear blue skies.

Brinda clicked these two panorama shots in her iPhone 6. Check it out below. Please click on them to see them in larger size.

Go now when the weather is still comfortable. Before scorching summer sets in. Be there when it opens at 8.30 in the morning. You will love it.

Poorna & Brinda

We are Brinda and Poorna from Bengaluru, the “Silicon city” or “Garden city” of India.

We travel together. We caught the travel bug 20 years back. On our honey moon, we traveled over the sea, in the train, by bus and in an aircraft! Our adventures probably started in that year. It continues, ever since.
