Time to see Coffee Blossoms!

Written by Poorna & Brinda

Coffee blossoms season is here. The Coffee country is looking beautiful!

We were driving in Sakleshpur over the weekend. As we drove through the coffee estates, we could notice the fresh buds on the trees. We were talking how lovely it would look when we have white blossoms all around.

When we were driving back home, we missed a turn and drove for few kilometres before we realised that we had taken a wrong route. But this was a boon in disguise. What we saw was sheer joy. The Coffee trees in this estate had lovely blossoms all around and it was not only pleasant to eyes but also to the nose. The lovely aroma – jasmine like – was soothing to senses.

Take a look at these pictures we took. Click on these pictures to see them in larger size.

Plan a trip to Coffee regions of Chikmagalur or Coorg or Sakleshpur in next fifteen days. The flowers remain for 15 days only. Stay in any of the coffee estate home stays. Drive along the roads dotted by coffee estates on either side. One of the lovely drive we would recommend is from Kutta to Madikeri via Siddapur. If you are in Chikmagalur, then the drive to Sringeri from Chikmagalur or Chikmagalur to Horanadu would be beautiful.

So, pack your bags and head to coffee country in next two weekends. Enjoy coffee blossoms in full glory. Come back with your senses fully satisfied!

Isn’t it time to have our own “Coffee Blossom Festival” like “Cherry Blossom festival”? Any takers?
