Jaipur – Vignettes of a Chilly morning

We were in Jaipur last month. Having been to Jaipur many times, we wanted to explore the city in the morning before it gets crowded. Winter was still strong and mornings were cold. We made up our mind to get up early in the morning and go around the city and click some candid shots. It was chilly but not as cold as we thought it would be. It was a pleasure driving through the city early in the day.

We clicked some candid pictures. Please take a look. Please click on them to see in original size.

Jaipur

A typical scene in North India during winter. A bonfire and a Cigarette. Here there is a company of Camel too.

We saw this young monk in front of Hawa Mahal. He was probably around ten year old. Braving the cold only with a piece of cloth to cover. Incidentally he was part of a group of monks from Thailand.

Jaipur

Majestic facade of Hawa Mahal in morning light. Best time to click it.

Milk Cans at milk market.

Finally, a tasty cup of Ginger chai in Kullad (earthen pot)

Ninety minutes spent early in the morning was worth the trouble. We were able experience crowd-less Jaipur at its best. If you are in Jaipur next time, we strongly recommend you to go around and experience it. Round it off with Ginger tea on Hawa Mahal road!

What has been your experience of Jaipur? We would love to hear from you.
