Five Acres, Kadamane estate through Fish eye!

We were in Kadamane estate two weeks back. What a lovely place it continues to be. We first visited the place three years back when it was getting renovated and only three cottages were open to visitors. We again went there when the main bungalow was fully renovated and rooms were done.

A friend of us wanted to go out somewhere on the weekend. A short drive and a nice place to spend the evening. We took a chance by checking availability at Sinnadorai Bungalow at Kadamane Estate. We knew it would be tough to expect availability on a weekend during summer holidays. We kept our fingers crossed. After few minutes, we get a confirmation that the rooms were available. A cancellation by a group helped us to get the accommodation!

A nice drive, good lunch at Swathi Delicacy and we were in Kadamane by 4 PM. Evening was spent relaxed listening to cicadas with some bubbly to give company. The plan was to go to Five acres next day morning before breakfast.

If Kadamane is a lovely place, Five acres, the wilderness with a lovely valley view is the of piece de resistance of the estate. A drive on the jeep track led us to the top of the hill. Copious summer rain had turned the landscape green. We could see sprouts of lemon grass even as we walked to the top of the hill.

Though we have been to this place many times, it is a wow feeling every time we come here. Our friend who was coming here for the first time was floored by what he saw. Why not. This is what he saw! ( Please click on the picture to see in larger size)

Can you believe this was shot through iPhone6?

Brinda had got a new lens attachment to her iPhone 6. Olloclip as it is called is a fantastic attachment to enhance your pictures. You can click macro, fish eye and images with depth. We recommend you to get one.
